Umbrella Beach Bar Grenada: The Spot
Intro
There is one spot in Grenada that holds a special place in my heart and where I was shown some extreme love. While staying at Glamping Grenada, I was recommended to this restaurant on the beach named Umbrella Beach Bar. Look, if you happen to be in Grenada, this is the spot to go, with fantastic food, good beer, and under-the-counter rum😅.
The Vibe
The first thing that stood out to me was just how much rum the bar has. I had some unbelievable food at the restaurant, including this lovely chicken alfredo. For about 10-15$ for a main course, for a bar on the beach, this is the spot to go for a nice lunch.
Drinks-wise, whatever you need, they have it, whether it be the local STAG beer, rum or heck, or soda if you need it.
What really stood out to me was the people that came into the restaurant. Everybody that I met was very friendly, and the locals offered to buy me drinks. Heck, we even ended up doing shots of under the counter together 😅. The staff are some of the nicest souls I have met as well. Much like with glamping, this is another aspect where it felt more like a community rather than a money-making bar.
The biggest stand-out point on my night out at Umbrella was how the person I met above bought me a shirt from the restaurant. I inquired about the price, and it was quite expensive. The next thing I knew, he bought it for me! Grenada is one of my favorite countries in the Caribbean, and Umbrella Beach Bar is one of my favorite spots in Grenada.
Final Thoughts
I had the most wonderful time at Umbrella Beach Bar in Grenada. If you happen to be vacationing on the island, this is a spot that you definitely have to visit for lunch. Say hi to the lads working for me if you go!
