Transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards Points To Virgin Atlantic With 40% Bonus: EEK
Intro
As previously written, Virgin Atlantic will be installing a new award chart on October 30th, and the program will be turning towards dynamic pricing. Well, Chase Ultimate Rewards and Virgin Atlantic have combined to create another transfer bonus, and this is one of the best that we have seen yet.
The Details
From the 15th of October to November 30th, Chase customers transferring points from their Ultimate Rewards account over to Virgin Atlantic will be able to take advantage of 40% extra points. Generally speaking, as this bonus only applies to US card holders, these transfers seem to be instant but very occasionally can take a little bit longer.
Virgin Atlantic frequently partners with Chase with these bonuses, but 40% is one of the best bonuses we have seen across all carriers. I wonder if this coming now has anything to do with the new award chart being implemented 🤔.
My Thoughts/Advice
As tempting as this bonus is, unless you have a designated award in mind that you are looking to book, I would hold off on transferring any points from Chase over to Virgin Atlantic. In my opinion, with this whole new award chart up the air, it isn't worth having your Ultimate Reward points tied up in a program that you don't know what is going to be like in 2 weeks' time.
Obviously, it is up to the individual person; I just simply would not do it. I have also heard reports that people have had a very difficult time trying to redeem ANA F recently (according to Flyertalk), so if that was on your mind, you might want to think again😉.
Final Thoughts
Virgin Atlantic and Chase Ultimate Rewards have launched their biggest partnership yet! This time, customers with an Ultimate Rewards account can now get a 40% bonus when transferring miles over to Virgin Atlantic. This promotion runs from October 15th- November 30th, 2024. My advice: do not transfer speculatively until after November 1st (for a starter). However, if you have an award that needs booking and there is space, you better hop on that right now!
