Review: Four Points By Sheraton Toronto Pearson Airport
Intro
During my one-night stay in Toronto on the way to Africa, I decided to stay at the Four Points by Sheraton, located near Toronto Pearson Airport. There are plenty of options when it comes to hotels near the airport, but this was one that seemed the most logical and cost-efficient. Thus, I chose it 😅.
The Four Point by Sheraton is located a mere 5-minute drive from the international terminal and another 5-minute drive to terminal 1, providing fantastic access at a fraction of the price from the airports inside the hotel.
Prices at the Four Points fluctuate anywhere from 140 USD per night to upwards of 200 USD per night during busier periods. The cost of this stay turned out to be around 155 USD after taxes and fees.
The Lobby/Restaurant
Once arriving at the hotel, it seemed to be quite busy for a midweek, with the bar and restaurant packed. Seeing as I had already had the time to eat some incredible steak frites with one of my best mates, I wasn't hungry and skipped the restaurant.
However, the prices on the menu were quite appetizing (keep in mind this is in CAD).
The rest of the lobby was a small but beautiful space, with plenty of space to wait for food deliveries, have chats, or wait for the airport shuttle in the morning...
Within no time, a very friendly agent checked me in, and I made my way over to the elevators. Gotta love Canadians; they are some of the friendliest people in the world (yes, I am Canadian).
The Rooms
My room for the night would be at the very end of the hallway on the right-hand side, room 201. The hallways felt sleek and fresh with nice undertones to them.
Unfortunately, the only room they had left when booking the morning of was a room with two double beds. As a solo traveler, my preference would have obviously been a room with a King bed, but I had an amazing sleep that night. It must have been the bed as I actually wasn't that tired that night.
A little desk for working was available, along with a TV featuring Netflix and YouTube.
Located near the entrance to the room was a small but functional toilet. Certainly nothing luxurious, but seeing as it is an airport hotel, this allowed me to have a shower in the morning which was what I needed.
Additionally, by the entrance to the door was a small tray with a couple of bottles of complimentary water and, the most important part: a coffee machine!
If you are like me and cannot function without caffeine, this is a must...
Airport Shuttle Service
Similar to most airport hotels around the world, the Four Points by Sheraton offers customers free transport to and from the airport.
These transports run from early in the morning (around 4-5 am) until 11 or 12 at night every 20 minutes. There is a schedule that you can ask for when you check in to make sure you time everything right as I did🙂.
Other Amenities
Since it was late at night when I arrived, I didn't have time to use the other facilities. However, the Four Points also features a decent swimming pool and a 24-hour fitness center. Another aspect that really impressed me about this property.
Final Thoughts
Other than the lobby feeling a bit bland, the Four Points by Sheraton really impressed me during my one-night stay in Toronto. The beds were extremely comfortable and allowed me a solid 8-hour sleep, which I clearly needed. The restaurant prices were reasonable, which is usually tough to say for an airport hotel. The location is perfect, and the hotel offers free airport transfers.
Next time, I might just have to go for a swim. This is a place I highly recommend, and it can be redeemed with points!
