Playing Football Against The Government In Da Nang, Vietnam
Intro
During my time in Hoi An, Vietnam, at the Four Seasons, I got up to some really cool experiences, including Coconut boating, shopping in Hoi An, and playing football against the government. For those wondering why I chose to play football, I used to be a professional for a while, playing club and in the U13 for district.
Thanks to a staff member at the Four Seasons, he was able to arrange a game for us to play, but little did I know it was against the government😂.
What Happened
I truly love Vietnam; it's one of my top 10 countries in the world, but it was certainly interesting to play against the government. I got pushed and shoved around, as is usual in football until someone purposefully tripped me when the ball was on the other side of the pitch.
As you can see, there is a picture of me complaining as per usual when playing football.
All in all, though, it's playing football, and this is what happens, and this is also why I love playing. I highly recommend that if you play football, reach out to me, and I'll put you in contact. The Vietnamese people are kind souls, and I had a lot of fun.
Actually, the kind man who brought me to play scored the winner in the last minute!
Final Thoughts
This isn't just about football; it's about Vietnamese hospitality and kindness. Playing football for a couple of hours was fun; what was more fun was all the laughs that we had. I cannot wait to return back to Da Nang and get stuck into another game with the lads.
