My Favorite Airline In The World
Intro
After flying over 900 flights, I have finally discovered what my favorite airline in the world is. There are currently 5,000+ airlines across the world, and with so many choices, it was hard to narrow down. However, my choice is...
Yes, it is Thai Airways!
Why Thai Airways?
Having flown in every class of Thai Airways and every Thai Airways product multiple times, my original thoughts were better, especially on the last flight with them from Dhaka to Bangkok (review coming soon).
To start with, their First Class isn't the best in the sky, but it also is pretty damn good. The hard product is definitely a middle-of-the-pack experience, with extremely comfortable seats but no sliding doors. It's ranked number 5 among my best first-class products in the world.
What makes Thai First Class one of my favorite ways to fly is the service. This is an ongoing trend throughout the reasoning behind why I love Thai Airways. If you head off to the toilet, expect your clothes and blanket to be folded by the time you get back.
The Business Class also resembles a similar experience to First Class in terms of having an okay hard product but an unbelievably good soft product. For example, on my last flight, I enquired if they still served Laurent Perrier on long-haul flights. The flight attendant went around and asked the other FAs to confirm her suspicion.
The thing about Thai is that the hard product leaves a lot to be desired if that is what you are solely interested in (such as the 772). However, the small details from the crew are what make Thai special. It doesn't feel like a conveyor belt in the way that Singapore Airlines/Cathay/Eva/Turkish does. Heading to the toilet? The crew mentions, "Mr Tillman, is everything okay"?
The crew actually cares about the customers more than any other airline. Every single time I have flown with Thai, the crew has been outstanding.
Okay, but Jettotajet, you seem to only talk about business and First Class. How about economy? I have flown Thai Airways in economy multiple times and can confidently say that Thai is fantastic in economy. It is also one of the few airlines that still offers a 3-3-3 in economy instead of a 3-4-3.
Reviews of Thai Airways:
I have about 4 more reviews of Thai Airways to post, but in the meantime, enjoy these!
Final Thoughts
Thai Airways is officially my favorite airline in the world as of 2024! After flying with them a number of times, the soft product that Thai Airways offers if better than any other soft product in the skies. TG has that good of a soft product that it beats the likes of Singapore Airlines' hard and soft products. Imagine being treated like a king in the skies, that has what has happened to me on Thai Airways.
