My 2024 Progress: 85 Flights, 44 Countries

Intro

With the start of August just coming around, I thought it would be a cool idea to share my 2024 update and also provide everything I have spent so far on airfare. This year has been an extraordinary year filled with a lot of flying and some surreal experiences, including riding the iron ore train in Mauritania.

Some Of The Highlights

There have been some incredible moments across these travels, as much as it has been tiring. Each of these will have a separate post eventually if not already.

I started off the year playing football in Vietnam against the government while staying at the Four Seasons in Da Nang.

After hopping around Asia, I headed off to explore the Pyramids of Giza, where I made some amazing lifelong friends.

A month after seeing a beautiful attraction, it was time for Cuba. Cuba is among the top ten countries in the world, and I truly had the time of my life there.

Then the South America trip commenced. It started in Costa Rica and I worked my way south through Colombia, Peru, and...

Machu Picchu

My third favorite country in the world... Bolivia.

La Paz Bolivia

I had to take 3 weeks off after that (the plan was longer), but I found a fare down to Nicaragua for 5K American Airlines miles in economy. Granada was a cool place, and a lot better than I expected.

Swimming with sharks was on the agenda for the next adventure in Belize. Flying in the cockpit of Maya Air was a treat as well😳.

Oops, almost forgot about Guatemala. That was a time and a half but sadly, tequila got the best of me😅.

Antigua Guatemala

There were some brutal economy flights throughout this year, but there was also plenty of luxury on offer with the likes of Q-Suites, American 777 First Class, ITA A321neo in Business, and the A321T in First (multiple times).

Then Africa came around, I don't want to spoil too much but I'll leave some pictures here from Nigeria, South Africa, Mozambique, and Namibia.

Surprisingly, the highest status I have on an airline is silver😅. There are plenty of reviews coming soon from the Asia trip and the Africa trip. Stay tuned for all of these experiences, but more in-depth!

Final Thoughts

As 2024 is already well over halfway through, I thought it would be a cool idea to showcase a couple of adventures I have been on this year. With 85 flights and 45 countries, there are a lot of reviews coming soon!
