Lufthansa Is Now Serving Dom Perignon In First Class! Wow!
Intro
Lufthansa is one airline that makes it relatively easy to redeem miles to fly first class. In the past, Lufthansa has rotated its wine and champagne selection, including the last time I flew them from IAD-MUC, where the champagne was LPGS.
Well, it seems like there has been an update for the month of November, as Lufthansa is showing menus that serve Dom Perignon 2013 in First Class, which is a huge step up!
The Details
During the month of November, Lufthansa will be serving Dom Perignon in First Class on the following routes:
Frankfurt-
Bangalore (BLR) — on an ongoing basis
Buenos Aires (EZE) — on an ongoing basis
Johannesburg (JNB) — on an ongoing basis
Los Angeles (LAX) — on an ongoing basis
Mexico City (MEX) — on an ongoing basis
Miami (MIA) — on an ongoing basis
Newark (EWR) — on an ongoing basis
San Francisco (SFO) — on an ongoing basis
Sao Paulo (GRU) — on an ongoing basis
Shanghai (PVG) — on an ongoing basis
Singapore (SIN) — on an ongoing basis
Tokyo (HND) — on an ongoing basis
Boston (BOS) — on an ongoing basis
Chicago (ORD) — on an ongoing basis

Denver (DEN) — on an ongoing basis
Hong Kong (HKG) — on an ongoing basis
New York (JFK) — on an ongoing basis
Riyadh (RUH)
Dammam (DMM)
From Munich utilizing the A380's, we will see Dom P on:
Bangkok (BKK) — on an ongoing basis
Delhi (DEL) — on an ongoing basis
Los Angeles (LAX) — on an ongoing basis
While the hard product is just alright on the airline, Lufthansa provides itself with quite a nice soft product. Everything from a private terminal at Frankfurt to being driven to your gate occasionally, caviar, and now good champagne in the skies.
So Why The Change Now?
For about two years now, we have seen an exclusive partnership between Dom Perignon and Emirates in the skies. The original agreement, back in 2022, was originally supposed to be until late 2024, which meant that a lot of First Class airlines had to switch up their onboard champagne offering.
I guess this now means that the exclusivity partnership has now come to an end since Lufthansa is serving Dom Perignon in First Class. This is exciting news since I also assume that Singapore Airlines might follow suit and resort back to serving Krug and Dom P in First Class.
Final Thoughts
From November 1st to November 31, Lufthansa will be serving a 2013 Dom Perignon in First Class on all routes that see the cabin. For the past two years, only Emirates has had the right to serve Dom Perignon, and it's exciting to see this right come to a new airline. Is this just temporary? Any chance it could stick around? Only time shall tell.
