Intro
In the past few years, LATAM Airlines has been in the process of refreshing their business class cabins, especially their older 787-8s featuring the dated 2-2-2 configuration. Well, it seems that their brand new business-class cabin with doors is set to debut on May 4th to Miami.
The Product
Currently, LATAM has two different business-class products across their fleet. Onboard some of the 787s, all of the 777s, and all of the 767s you will seats laid out in a 1-2-1 configuration. These seats are fantastic, and combining that with the great soft product that LATAM has, you will be in for a good flight.

However, select 787s still feature a very dated product in a 2-2-2 configuration, very similar to what you would find on LOT or Turkish Airlines.
So, what does the new business-class product look like? LATAM has decided to install the Recaro R7 mini-suite (formerly known as CL6720) on their 787s in need of a refresh. Seats will be laid out in a 1-2-1 configuration, providing direct aisle access and additional privacy thanks to a sliding door.
I've gotta say: these seats are gorgeous and a big step up for LATAM.

Routes
While LATAM hasn't officially announced the new routes where these planes will debut, I have been doing some research and found the following:
The first long-haul route featuring this brand-new product seems to be the Santiago to Miami leg. Operating 2-3x weekly starting May 4th, LATAM will use the 787 (LA502) to fly passengers in style between the two destinations, Later on in the summer, this will be upgraded to a daily frequency as more aircraft are set to be refreshed.
From there, the next long-haul route seems to be LAX. As of May 7th, LATAM will offer 2-3x weekly flights from Santiago to Los Angeles featuring their brand new business class. Come late June, this will be upgraded to a daily frequency as it seems they will have a second aircraft for the rotation.

Just be aware when booking these flights that they are subject to change without notice. You are not guaranteed to get the new product.
Final Thoughts
After waiting quite a while, LATAM will be bringing their brand-new business class to the skies as of May 4th from Santiago to Miami, with the following frequency being to Los Angeles beginning May 7th. This is an exciting time for the airline, as I have thoroughly enjoyed my flights with them in business class, and can't wait to try this product out!
