Jetblue "EvenMore" Seats Launching
Intro
For the longest time, Jetblue has been letting down passengers when it comes to premium options (minus mint, that is). Since Jetblue solely flies narrowbodies, it wouldn't quite make sense to install the likes of premium economy on the aircraft. Thus, Jetblue has decided to offer a more premium experience for passengers booked into "EvenMore".
The Details
For countless years, we have seen Jetblue selling seats in the first few rows and exit rows as "EvenMoreSpace". However, as of January 28th, this new experience will be called "EvenMore", and will be much more premium.
Interestingly, not all exit row seats will sold under EvenMore anymore. The majority of flights will only have a couple of rows at the front, instead of the traditional exit rows that would usually be offered at the exit (thanks to the immense legroom).
As passengers looking to book an EvenMore seat, what can one expect?
Extra legroom
Up to three complimentary alcoholic beverages
A premium snack option (mini Tate’s Chocolate Chip Cookies)
Priority security access at some airports
Early boarding
Dedicated overhead bin space
Complimentary headphones upon request
Now, on paper, this seems quite a bit more premium than what Jetblue had offered in the past for non-Mosaic members. However, if you are already a Mosaic member, most of these benefits would already apply.
Lastly, it's also worth noting how much you value all of these offerings. Jetblue can** have reasonable fares, but they seem to charge upwards of 100$ on a 2-hour flight to book an EvenMore seat.
Final Thoughts
Jetblue has announced that as of January 28th, there will be a rebranding from their traditional EvenMoreSpace seats to a new EvenMore overhauled experience. On paper, I see this is a good sign as we wait for Mini Mint to roll out. However, I hope the price will be based on demand instead of fixed, otherwise I imagine these seats will get filled up by status holders.
