Emirates Adds White Glove Service: Over The Top In My Opinion

Intro
An article by OMAAT recently noted that Emirates has decided to one up part of their First Class experience, and I've gotta say, this is a bit over the top as someone who loves luxury.
The Details
Beginning soon, Emirates has just announced that flight attendants will be given a literal white glove when serving a glass of champagne and placing silverware. While the onboard soft product of Emirates is top tier, this is going to be yet another evolution in the product which keeps expanding.
The concept is basically that the flight attendant will put on a white glove when serving the glass of champagne (or wine), return to the galley, take it off, and come back with a glass of champagne and linen over their arm.

This Is Over The Top: Sorry
Over the past years, we have seen Emirates come out with all sorts of evolutions in their First Class product, such as the movie snack menu which is excellent, but this is unnecessary and actually a downgrade in my eyes.
As an example, what happens if their is a full A380 from New York to Dubai, and ten of those passengers would like a glass of wine? Do you mean to tell me that a flight attendant has to take on and off a white glove 20 times in 10 minutes?? To me that is ridiculous.

I love the First Class flight attendants on Emirates, they are professional, fun, and extremely nice people all around. However, I just see this as an unnecessary addition for the staff since a First Class cabin can be quite large. Now the Residence on Etihad, that I understand, but not this.
Final Thoughts
I really enjoy Emirates First Class as a product, but Emirates has just announced that moving forwards, the airline will be providing white glove service. On paper this concept is a neat touch, but in my honest opinion: it's a bit over the top. Let's see how it goes.
