Delta's Sleek New Cabins
Intro
The interiors of the Delta aircraft have been falling apart for a while, if not that, they look extremely dated with a light blue and red constrast. Well, this will soon be changing to a much more modern design, which proves to look vastly more appealing. I gotta say that Delta Airlines is trying hard to offer a good overall product, and this is another way they are doing that. If only they could replace the Atlanta-based crew.
New Cabins
Delta is approaching its 100th anniversary and thus has decided to redo the design of its cabins. Instead of the traditional blue and red, they have opted for darker hues with a hint of red. The renderings of the cabins look phenomenal but don't fully resemble Delta.
If only we could get a new livery on the outside and perhaps an overall re-work of the logo to match these cabins...
Not only are we seeing new cabin interiors, but the ambient mood lighting will be taking a shift to create a more calming environment.
When Can We Expect These To Rollout?
Delta isn't the best airline when it comes to rollouts, nor are they the worst. Expect to see the new cabins come to the 757s as of fall this year. This makes the most sense as these jets are in desperate need of a refresh, along with the 767s.
In early 2025, we expect to see the first A350 jet get the new cabins, but it might take up until 2027 before we see the whole fleet updated.
Final Thoughts
Delta will be bringing a new color scheme to their fleet starting in the next few months. While the interior does certainly need an update, I'm not convicned the new undertones quite match the Delta branding. With that being said, expect the new cabins to fleetwide by 2027.
