Intro
I have long been a fan of the Caribbean, (heck, remember the time I drank under-the-counter rum and was drunk for 5 days straight), and now that every time an airline adds more routes to the region I get excited for each of the airlines. While Delta might not be my favorite airline, beginning this winter they will be the first airline to serve St Vincent from Atlanta, and the airline will be resuming daily service to Grenada. Not bad.
Atlanta-St Vincent
Beginning December 20th, 2025, Delta Airlines will be adding direct flights from Atlanta (ATL) to Saint Vincent and The Grenadines (SVD). The route is scheduled to operate with a 737-800 with the following schedule:
DL2977: Atlanta-Saint Vincent departing 9:40 am and arriving at 3:05 pm
DL2779: Saint Vincent- Atlanta departing 4:20 pm and arriving at 8:30 pm
As per usual for the Caribbean, this schedule matches up with check-in and check-out times for hotels to the best of the airline's ability.

The most interesting part of this route to me is the flight numbers. It seems that Delta just flipped the numbers, unlike DL88/DL89. Note that this route will go from daily to five times weekly as of January.
Atlanta-Grenada
The second route addition to the great Delta Caribbean expansion is the beautiful country of Grenada (my favorite in the Caribbean). Delta used to operate this route before the pandemic but cut it due to the pandemic. Well, on the same date as the inaugural to Saint Vincent, Delta plans to operate daily flights from Atlanta to Grenada utilizing a 737-800 with the following schedule:
DL2768: Atlanta-Maurice Bishop (GND) departing 9:45 am and arriving at 3:15 pm
DL2878: Maurice Bishop (GND3- Atlanta departing 4:20 pm and arriving at 8:45 pm
With the resumption of the Grenada route, this will become Delta's second-longest route from Atlanta to the Caribbean after Barbados.
Final Thoughts
Delta Airlines is set to expand its operations in the Caribbean for the winter schedule of 2025 with a brand new route to Saint Vincent, and a resumption to Maurice Bishop Airport (Grenada). While these routes are set for daily service through the Christmas/New Year period, they will later be reduced to 5x weekly.
