Amazing Food At Mauri Restaurant In Bali. Is It The Best?

Intro

Every time I visit my second home in Bali, there is a list of restaurants that I frequent. The list is Amici, Mauri, and Fire at the W in Seminyak. Having eaten many times at Mauri, one night, my adopted dad and I headed out for dinner here.

Needless to say, this restaurant is by far worth the price. With fantastic wine, amazing onion ravioli, and lamb chops, this was a decadent dinner.

The Food

Mauri restaurant is located just on the opposite side of the road from the W in Seminyak. Parking can be a nightmare if you drive a car (which I do not recommend), so either drive a bike or arrange a grab/driver.

When dining at Mauri, you can either opt for the signature set menu or the a la carte option.

This time, we opted for A la Carte, although if you are interested in the set menu this is what it looks like:

Our menus were presented for the evening.

The food had to begin with a mandatory amuse-bouche. These sea-cream crackers were absolutely delicious. Keep in mind that the amuse-bouche is on rotation.

As we continued to indulge in our bottle of wine, my appetizer was presented. This dish is debatably one of the best I have ever had: Parmigiano ravioli. Somehow, Mauri makes it where it melts in your mouth.

Lastly, the lamb chops. This was my first time not having the set menu and the first time having the lamb chops. I was blown away by the flavors bursting from the meat.

Dessert was a decadent affair, with Mauri actually putting together the Tiramisu at the table in front of you. It ended up being topped off with salmon roe (that was a first) before devouring it😅.

Chef Mauri came around to check on us during the meal as the second dessert arrived. Although, I could not eat the Petit Fours as my stomach was going to burst.

For those wondering the people for 2 people, my guess would be somewhere around 4-4.5 million rupiah for 2 people, including a bottle of wine.

Final Thoughts

Mauri is one of my favorite restaurants in Bali and the one that I recommend you check out the most. The chef (Mauri) is a lovely guy who produces some of the best food on the island. Next time you are in Bali, this restaurant is a no-brainer.
