20% Bonus: Chase Points-Flying Blue
Intro
If you have any Christmas travel in the works or have a redemption set in mind, then Chase has just announced its second yearly transfer bonus to Flying Blue. This has the potential to be a very nice deal, especially if you have a reward in mind and are ready to book.
The Details
As of yesterday, December 4th, Chase Ultimate Rewards members can now transfer their points to Flying Blue with a 20% bonus until January 15th, 2025. Points traditionally transfer at a 1000:1000 ratio, but with this addition, you can now transfer at 1000:1200.
As I have previously written about, there is some incredible value to have if you are looking to fly Garuda Business Class when booking through Flying Blue. This leaves options open to fly Business from Hong Kong to Jakarta, which is almost a 5-hour flight, for 19,000 Chase points.
For the soft product that can be found on Garuda Business Class in their A330-900neo, and A330-300, this is some of the best point-for-point value around at the moment.
So, in theory, this transfer bonus means that one could fly one-way from North America to Europe for 42,000 chase points with Air France or KLM. However, I am personally not one to sit around and spend days searching for availability that may or may not show up. Thus, if you are looking for an alternative, you can book Aeromexico one way for 76,000 points before the transfer bonus if interested.
Final Thoughts
Chase Ultimate Rewards and Flying Blue have just announced their latest transfer bonus of 20%. Up until January 15th, 2025, you will receive an extra 20% bonus miles when transferring to Flying Blue. If you have a redemption in mind or happen to be flying around Asia with Garuda, this is perfect!
